[...] Team France won by losing !
Kimi
France once again with the title of World Champion! But this time, with a slight bitter taste.
The rule of ET-League is to give an advantage to the team directly from the Winner Bracket, France in this case, and they just had to win the final map, Hock-B to clinch the supreme title. Thing which makes sad all spectators and players, which both sides found this rule a little bit too extreme. After a very disappointing STC final, we saw a NC one totally illogical as the performance of the Norwegians was superior throughout the match and didnt let France confirm their performance to win.

time : 20h30 CET
Winner: France
The match
The first map starts very well for the Norwegians who installed an extremely high skill, thanks to the performance of TM-dude and teammates. France failed to keep pace, and despite a good Veng, the tricolors must bow to a hard 7-2 score.
On the second map, things seem to have reversed, France is leading the dance and thanks to the trio consisting of toto, Veng and Yoyo, they lead by 3-1. Then the errors start to appear on the blue side, while the reds offered spectators a fast and consistant show. This famous corner with landing at the 35 seconds of the map is a real nuisance to the French who are on a tightrope, and a few minutes later, Norway has just suffered the promising start of the French winning six rounds in a row and take second map too by 7 to 3.
We are on the third map, Hock-B. The rule seem to be clear, if France wins the map, it becomes world champion. Then the oldschool drivers emerged, Carl, Rapt and Tannis certainly did not wanted to let the Norwegians leaving with their title from last year. And then, the France show us a completely different face, Carl flying, they take the game in hand and was leading 5 to 2 until disconnections appeared which gave all a break before the final ending. Five minutes later, Veng crossed the finish line as first and offered the victory to Team France.
