First step
First start by opening a map of your choice. however, this map has to be done by yourself as Challenge Edition has an algorithm to only edit a map associated with your account online.
After loading your map, a list of blocks appears in a specific order. You should see a list of blocks more or less similar to the one below.
Your first placed block is numbered and appears at the top of the list with a "P". This letter means that this block is the first in a family unit.
And this block with a "P" has a lock that if we unlock, can then write the name of another block. It has the effect of transforming all the same block with the one you want: It is the "Replace" tech.
Click on "Save block modifications to memory" and all the blocks turn into horrible other blocks.
On the interface, there are details and variations:
Rotation: direction of the block (from 0 to 3 in the direction of a clock)
X: Length Variation 1: shape, junction block (from 0 to 251)
Z: Height Variation 2: block on the grass or in suspension (varies between 0, 16.47 and 64)
Y: Width
To edit a block, just click on it but make sure you have placed your last block. Indeed, then it will appear at the last position in the list and it will be much easier to find.
If you want to put a block in the same cell as below:

You should preferably place the block in the air (Z) since it is easier to change with height by the length / width (Y, X).
Then after saving your map, reload your map on Challenge with the Edit button "refresh" (it refreshes the new blocks), lower than 1 the block and ALWAYS click on "Save block modifications to memory" otherwise your changes will be canceled .
To check your "first mix", click the Edit Challenge so as to save your work. You can create an additional safeguard if the map is bugging.
Beware, some mix of grass generate holes on the surface, either because the block has the variation 2 to 0 (suspension). In this case, set it to 16 and the hole disappears.
(Variation 2: 47 and 64 are for other blocks.)
In other cases, some blocks can not be placed on the ground. In this case, putting two new blocks (not present in the map) above the hole.
Then use the technique of "Replace" and rename the blocks StadiumGrass or StadiumDirt. Then put the 2 blocks at level 0 (the surface blocks are elevated ) and the result:

Last hole case, you put the soil or water in suspension and it is impossible to map below the blocks, the solution is the same as the previous by placing the double blocks above the water surface / Earth and the lower level 0.

A dizzying map ...

In TrackMania, some blocks can be moved outside the area of mapping, but it only works for blocks that are placed on the ground. Avoid placing blocks Dirt, Grass, and Water DirtHill on the lengths and widths, it will "crash" the map. They
may however be placed vertically to Z: 255 , which is the maximum height
of the game while Stadium is a closed environment to 32x32x32.
The dimensions of "game" for each environment:
Desert: 44x17x44
Rally: 44x17x44
Snow: 44x17x44
Island: 44x35x44
Coast: 44x35x44
Bay: 44x35x4
Stadium: 32x32x32
The advantage of Coast, are the blocks GP, they are placed at ground level so here is the result:
