As the new season is coming soon, ESL gradually unveils some news and rules about the ESL Premiership. After the good map pack went out on 1st of March, it's now the general structure of the tournament which is under the spotlight.

First big novelty is the four leagues system. This season the third league, formerly consisitng of four groups, will be divided consisting of two different leagues. We can see with this move a desire to regroup the 70 participating teams according to their skill.
With the objective to decrease to 60 teams for next season, organizers have to clean the tournament now! To make only one group in second league next season, 12 teams from second league will be relegated in third league at the end of this season which promises a wonderful fight to maintain or rise!
However, the play-offs stage will keep its configutation and teams participating in will end the season the 23rd of may 2010.

The match structure is modified a bit too to increase the team work. Indeed one of the 2vs2 disapeard like the 4vs4 to see a 5vs5 coming, like the community were asking for. One of the force of ESL now is to listen more the community to increase satisfaction and performance of teams.
